The Ascension, Hulme Hub Church

The Diocese of Manchester has learnt today that it has been successful in its bid for £5.035 million from the Church Commissioners’ Strategic Development Fund to develop projects that will help grow a younger and more diverse church, particularly in areas of high deprivation. Read more about the projects here: https://www.manchester.anglican.org/news/2020/06/26/manchester-awarded-5m-church-commissioners-church-growth-projects/.

One of three creative new interventions over five years, with the aim of reaching people aged under 40, involves establishing a ground-breaking Hub Church in the existing parish church of The Ascension, Hulme, in partnership with St Martin-in-the-Fields and HeartEdge.

We are excited at the missional opportunity that this project represents and at the prospect of working with others involved. These include the Diocese of Manchester, St Ann's Church Manchester, Sacred Trinity Salford, and Revd Azariah France-Williams, the pioneer priest who will lead The Ascension, Hulme Hub Church.

Meet Fr Azariah through a video in which he introduces himself and this exciting new project - https://www.facebook.com/ManchesterDiocese/videos/1527335937445860/UzpfSTUwNjAyNjA1OTU0NDMyNToxMjM2NTY1MTA5ODIzNzQ2/
